I think a better name would be 81SU Arena, because Dojo not only seem like it's stealing part of the name from SD24, Arena also promotes something more "international" rather domestically Japanese since we mainly want to target at more International players to join.

Oh, by the way, why do we have a Time selection and a set-time for rated games?

Because for rated games, you can select:
Rated - 30m + 60 sec

But below is you can select time again.

Also, I played a testing match with a friend. After the game, when we exited to the lobby, all of our private in-game chat was in the lobby chat. Was that supposed to be like so?

The comboboxes below are for choosing time rules for non-rated games.
For rated games, only 1-30, 15-60, 30-60 are available for now.

I believe kota-san will try to support private chat soon, but for now, all chat messages are sent to every user regardless of where he is.

I think the time box should be "grayed out" if Rated Game is chosen.

What ever is decided over the name, I think that there should be a new discussion topic of the website and this topic moved to it.

I missed this post earlier.

Dojos exist in the US too. When I was a kid, I attended a karate dojo. It wasn't called a "karate school." We even called the teacher "Sensei." I don't think using "dojo" would alienate users.

Also, Shogi Club 24 is the name of the site; Shogi Dojo is just the URL. The full name is 将棋倶楽部24 (shougi kurabu 24). I don't think it would be a big deal if we called it 81 Shogi Dojo. I mean, the Shogi Kaikan in Tokyo has a 将棋道場 (shougi doujou). ;)

I also think the word "Arena" is too hostile. Arena is a word used for fighting. Even though we fight on the board, it's a bit different. It's the same reason why the word "opponent" is preferable to "enemy."

That's called a battlefield, not arena. Arenas are for matches :)

But either way, I think 81SU Dojo would do then.

I made minor update.
No big change in terms of appearance and feature.
